#102 "The Third Strike"
Testing out more background tricks while Laurie figures out how to get the colored comic to look its best. As you can see I've gone with a little "no outline" background figures. You've seen it in other more sucessful comics, and now it's just gotten a little less exclusive. I'm not a hundred percent convinced that I'll stick with this technique, but for now it looks decent enough. Also, you'll notice that this joke relies rather heavily on the reader having seen the previous comic. This is something I usually try to avoid, but I kinda forgot here. In my defense, I wrote this little three parter a very long time ago. Well before said pop culture reference had actually been released. |

So, in an effort to improve the color quality, I've made the move to jpegs. This means a slightly larger file size, and therefore a longer load. If you just can't stand this, send me an email and I will see what I feel like doing to accomodate you. Also, I will be going back and fixing the other color comics - I've read the negative emails about the quality. No more of those unless you have something original to say other than "YOU SUCK FOR GIFs OF COLOR." Trust me, I get it.
In other news, at first when I looked at the last panel, I thought it said "SIAM!" and not "SLAM!" Just so you know, it's the latter. Although I see humor in either. Melissa just doesn't need another video game junkie around; that's what roommates are for. And that wine is most likely a merlot, as she is more than passingly fond of a good dark wine. |
